About Us

Courtney Lloyd, Clinical Social Worker/Therapist, LCSW (FL), LCSW-C (MD)

Ms. Lloyd brings a wealth of knowledge to the clinical setting, with over 23 years of experience working with children, adolescent and adult populations.

Ms. Lloyd works in a host of settings including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, outpatient clinics, detention centers, residential treatment centers, halfway houses, health departments, group homes and schools. With a strong background in human development, behavior modification for at risk juveniles, substance abuse treatment for multiple populations, and extensive experience with patients diagnosed with acute and chronic mental health disorders, Ms. Lloyd has delivered therapy to multiple individuals, over many years.

Additionally, Ms. Lloyd designs well reviewed training modules such as “Ethics 101” & “Safe Interactions with Law Enforcement” for those with mental challenges, of which she is able to award CEU’s for her intellectual property.

Ms. Lloyd assisted in college course curriculum development for the Certification of Child & Youth Practitioners at Catonsville Community College and managed teams of helpers in both Florida and Maryland, for over 21 years.

Ms. Lloyd maintains an LCSW in Florida and an LCSW-C in Maryland, in addition to other credentials and licenses for addictions, trainings and aggregate care management, while serving as Chief Executive Officer of two nonprofit organizations.

Ms. Lloyd believes that the exchange between clinician and help seeker must be dynamic and reciprocal, in that minds are meeting to co-author solutions for a wide host of challenges presented by the help seeking party.

Masterminds’ slogan “Where Great Minds Meet” is a reminder that collaboration, efficacy and mutual respect are key ingredients to therapeutic gains. Ms. Lloyd believes that those seeking help are an integral part of their own success and the chief authority of their own choices in most cases.

Ms. Lloyd also consults with individuals, groups, organizations and larger institutions, to help frame needs, design strategies and develop solutions to those needs, in addition to individual, couples and family therapy.
